Okay, let’s dive right in.

Here’s what you need.

  • A4 board (preferably black)
  • Pipe cleaners (Red, Blue and White)
  • Glitter boards (Red, Blue and White)
  • Pompoms (Red, Blue and White)
  • Scissor
  • Glue gun
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Step 01: Cut out the strips for the band

Take your black A4 board.

Draw lines of about 1.5 inches width and cut out strips.

You can decide the number of strips based on the length of the head band you are making.

Step 02: Make the head band

Attach 2 strips together on one end.

You can use a stapler or glue or anything you prefer, as long as it secures well 😉

Hold the other two ends together and attach them according to the size you want the head band to be.

There, you have your head band for the crown!

Step 03: Cut the pipe cleaners

Next, cut the pipe cleaners in different lengths.

Step 04: Make the stars

Draw some stars on the glitter boards and cut them out.

Don’t forget to draw them in different sizes!

Now you have stars of different colours and sizes.

Step 05: Paste the stars to the pipe cleaners

Next, we are going to paste the stars you cut, to the pipe cleaners, using a glue gun.

There you go. Your colourful stars, all ready to go up in the crown!

Step 06: Paste the stars to the head band

Then paste the stars to the head band with pipe cleaners.

Use a glue gun, so that it won’t fall off 😬

Here’s how it will look like.

Step 07: Paste the pompoms

Next, paste the pompoms on to the head band.

Paste as many as you want and use the colours and sizes alternatively.

And voila, you have your 4th of July Star Crown!
